What to bring to your first session, and what we already have

A short, no-stress prep list for your first time in the studio, including the things you do not need to carry because they are already here.

Bring your content, not your gear

The most useful thing you can bring is a clear outline. It does not need to be a full script. A page of bullet points keeps you on track and helps you finish inside the time you booked. If you have a specific intro, jingle, or music bed, send it ahead or bring it as a WAV or MP3.

You do not need to bring microphones, cameras, headphones, or cables. Those live here and are already set for the room. If you have one specialized piece of gear you cannot work without, bring it, but most people walk in empty handed and that is by design.

The small things that save the session

Bring a charged laptop or tablet and its charger. It is handy for pulling up notes, checking a file, or reviewing a take. A water bottle helps too, ideally room temperature, because studio air runs cool and dry and that catches up with your voice faster than you expect.

Wear something simple. Tight patterns and bright logos fight the camera. Solid colors read cleanest on video. If you are not sure, bring a second option and we will tell you which one looks better on the monitor.

Show up a few minutes early

Plan to arrive about fifteen minutes before your booked time. That window is for getting settled, a quick mic check, and a look at the frame before the clock that matters starts. It is the difference between easing in and feeling rushed from the first word.

If it is your first time, tell us. We will walk you through the room, show you where to look, and get the levels right before you start. By the time you are recording, the only thing you should be thinking about is what you came to say.

Bring your ideas and a charged laptop. We will bring the room, the gear, and the person who knows where everything plugs in.
